Chippy Creek and Brush Creek Fires August 17, 2007 Smoke-filled skies made a brilliant red sunset Thursday evening in Northwest Montana. The Chippy Creek and Brush Creek fires filled the area with smoke due to overcast weather conditions. According to InciWeb, Friday morning's fire acreage was 82,160 acres for Chippy Creek and 28,130 acres for the Brush Creek fire. A chance of rain showers is forecast for the weekend, but fire danger effectively remains extreme. |
