Helping fight cancer
August 6, 2007
The American Cancer Society held the “Relay for Life” on Friday and Saturday, August 3-4, at Asa Wood School. The event was a way to honor loved ones who have lost the battle against cancer, and to help support those fighting cancer today. Over 20 local teams participated, with each team committed to keeping one member of the team walking on the track all night long! There was also live music, a magic show, a luminaria ceremony, karaoke, and a spaghetti dinner.
