Libby Dam discharge to decrease
15,000 cfs to 9,000 cfs

The Corps of Engineers will begin decreasing discharge from Libby Dam beginning Wednesday evening (August 29) from current outflow of approximately 15,000 cubic feet per second (cfs) to 9,000 cfs by Saturday, September 1 following Biological Opinion ramping rates (1-2,000 kcfs per day).
Resulting Koocanusa Reservoir elevation will be approximately 2,439' on September 1, the target elevation for anadromous fish augmentation in the Columbia River.
