Libby Middle School Invitational Track Meet

Libby Middle School held its first-ever large invitational track meet Friday afternoon at Libby High School. Seven teams joined Libby: Eureka, Troy, Noxon, Trout Creek, Thompson Falls, Plains, and Hot Springs. Libby’s team of about 45 sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students enjoyed the competition from several other schools, and all the competitors had the benefit of running on the quality, rubberized track the high school offers. The Middle School Parent Council opened the concession stand for the event, and the weather was cooperative. Overall, the meet was deemed a success. Three more meets round out the season for LMS: a meet in Troy April 17, one in Thompson Falls April 27, and the county meet on May 10, hosted by Libby.
