Eureka Shooting Range comments sought Comment period ends May 20, 2007 April 24, 2007 Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks is working with the Tobacco Valley Rod and Gun Club to make improvements on their shooting range located southwest of Eureka. The Rod & Gun club was awarded a grant through the Shooting Range Development Grant program to make the following improvements of drilling a well and putting in a septic system. These two amenities will make it possible for a range caretaker to live on site. In the past, problems have occurred with after hours shooting and improper use of the range. You can review an electronic version of the draft Environmental Assessment at www.fwp.state.mt.us/public notices or contact Kurt Cunningham, FWP, at 406-444-1267. The comment period ends May 20, 2007. Please note that this draft EA will be considered as final if no substantive comments are received by the deadline.
