Here is the latest update of ski conditions across the state. Turner Mountain Ski Area, located just 22 miles from Libby, is tentatively scheduled to open on Friday, December 15. Other ski areas across the state are either already open or scheduled to open shortly. Information partially from the Montana Ski Area Association ski report.

Special Notes: The conditions are becoming really nice. Expect some wind and low visibility at times. Upper Big Ravine and Upper Toni Matt are skiing great with some fresh snow on corduroy. 2-3 inches of snow are in the forecast for today. Fish Bowl Terrain Park is offering 4 different jibs and a jump. Check out the 28-foot rainbow rail, 16-foot shotgun rail, a 40-foot flat down funbox and a 16-foot flat box, as well as a 20-foot jump. The park is located on lower Question Mark run with access via Chair 3. The terrain park will be expanded as snow builds up. The Super Pipe will be opened when conditions permit. Ski Patrol is advising riders to ride the groomed trails. Use caution riding off groomed runs and watch out for early season conditions. Early season lift ticket prices are in effect as of 12/12/06. $36 for adults and $28 for juniors.

Adult lift tickets will be $59, youth (11-13) $29, and college rate will be $39. Children 10 and under ski for free. Ramcharger is open with Ambush, guns now pointed at Tippy's Tumble. Mountain operations are continuing to open new terrain on a daily basis.
