Hunting & Fishing Seasons to close soon
November 20, 2006
MDFWP Montana’s 2006 general big game hunting season will close Sunday, November 26 at one-half hour after sunset. The general season closure includes hunting for fall black bear, elk, deer, mountain goat, moose, bighorn sheep and mountain lion hunting without hounds. The general antelope season closed November 5.
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks reminds Montana anglers that the state’s general fishing season on most streams and smaller rivers closes on November 30. The season in the eastern fishing district--and on most lakes and many of Montana’s larger rivers--remains open throughout the year.
Season dates for all waters throughout the state are listed in the current fishing regulations and on the FWP web site at fwp.mt.gov.
