Calling all Christmas Trees
St. John's Lutheran Hospital Festival of Trees
November 15, 2006
Business owners, local merchants, organizations, individuals and families are encouraged to promote their cause this holiday season by displaying a decorated tree at the St. John’s Lutheran Hospital Foundation’s 12th Annual Festival of Trees at the Libby Memorial Center on Friday, December 8, and Saturday, Dec. 9. There is no cost to display a tree.
“This two-day event has become a holiday tradition in our community and we hope more folks will join in the fun. Most of the community walks through the doors of the Memorial Center at some point over that weekend, so it’s a great way to advertise and bring awareness to your organization,” commented KC Hoyer, Foundation Director at St. John’s.
“We have lots of fun activities planned for Friday night, including the Treasure Tones and other live entertainment, visit Santa and his Elves played by the Kootenai Karacters (bring your camera), ornament making, face painting and other fun events for the kids. No-one will need to go hungry either, because of course we’ll have the SJLH Auxiliary’s famous chili feed available for purchase. This year the Friday night event will be co-sponsored by Kootenai Heritage Council and there will be no charge for admission,” she said.
