Cold weather hits
Snow, wind, cold temperatures
October 31, 2006

A fast-moving weather system moved through the area Sunday night, bringing wind, snow and colder air. This system has brought the coldest air so far this fall, along with snow to valley floors. High pressure and drier air has now settled in the region, but temperatures are expected to moderate later in the week.

Weather Forecast:
Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Highs 34 to 41.
Tuesday night: Partly cloudy. Lows 11 to 18.

Wednesday: Sunny. Patchy fog in the morning. Highs 33 to 40.
Wednesday night: Partly cloudy. Patchy fog after midnight. Lows 13 to 20.

Thursday: Patchy fog in the morning. Mostly sunny with a slight chance of snow showers in the morning...then mostly cloudy with a chance of rain and snow showers in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation 40 percent. Highs 40 to 47.
Thursday night: Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain and snow. Lows 22 to 29.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain. Highs 42 to 49.
Friday night: Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain. Lows 29 to 36.

Saturday: Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain. Highs 44 to 51.
Saturday night: Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain. Lows 30 to 37.

Sunday: Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain. Highs 43 to 50.
