Edwards join surgery staff at St. John’s
August 29, 2006
St. John’s Lutheran Hospital’s Surgery Department recently welcomed two new faces to the staff in their busy surgery department: Mark Edwards, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, CRNA and his wife Karen Edwards, RN. The Edwards come to Libby from Los Lunas, NM, where they practiced in the Lovelace Sandia Health System.
For seven years the couple made the trek to Lake Koocanusa to fish and camp with family. This year, they finally decided to make Libby home.
Mark Edwards, CRNA, brings over 27 years of experience to the operating room. He will be working as an Anesthetist in the Surgery Department at St. John’s. "When my wife and I decided to make a life change and leave our positions at Lovelace Sandia Health System, we looked at many hospitals, large and small," said Edwards.
"We chose St. John’s from the mix because we felt it was a progressive, well staffed hospital, with leadership that looked positively to the future, yet maintained their devotion to providing quality care with a personal touch," said Edwards.
Karen Edwards has been nursing for over 14 years and has extensive experience in surgery and management. Mark and Karen enjoy hunting, fishing, and riding their mules into the backcountry.
