Severe thunderstorm warning for Lincoln County

Monday, May 22, 5:45 PM: The Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Libby and Troy areas has been allowed to expire.
The warning was issued by National Weather Service (NWS)out of Missoula for central Lincoln County in Northwest Montana Monday afternoon. At 4:42 PM, Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm near Troy and Libby.
The NWS warned of quarter size hail and destructive winds in excess of 70 mph. Damaging winds, lighting and heavy rain were also possible with this storm.
