Libby 3D Archery Shoot
Fawn Creek Campground

The Libby Archery Club held a traditional (no compound bows) 3D archery shoot at Fawn Creek Campground over the weekend. The event drew about 170 entries on Saturday.
Three courses were laid out with 15 targets each, for a total of 45 targets. Since most archery shoots typically have two courses of 20 targets each, comments were positive about the layout of this shoot; there was no crowding or waiting and Fawn Creek Campground provides a beautiful setting for this type of event.
Four age groups (adults, youths ages 13 to 17, "cubs" ages 8 to 12 and "chipmunks" ages 7 and under) provided age-appropriate competition. Saturday evening's entertainment was provided by Pat Stoddard with a demonstration of horseback archery, a growing sport among archers.
The next shoot hosted by the club will be the Pipe Creek Shootout held June 3-4 at Timberlane Campground off Pipe Creek Road.
