by Maggie Craig February 11, 2006 Saturday morning dawned clear and cold (5 degrees) at McGregor Lake for the annual fish derby sponsored by McGregor Lake Resort. The lake has only a thin skin of ice - not enough for ice fishermen, and just enough to make it difficult for boats early in the morning. By mid-day, though, the boats were out in force, with 383 entries by noon Saturday, all hoping for that big rainbow or bigger mackinaw. |
