2006 Ignite the Nites August 18 & 19 Car Show, Burn Out Contest, Cruise, Dance February 9, 2006 Folks are already writing and asking about this year’s Ignite the Nites Car Show in August. This will be the 46th anniversary of the annual event, which is sponsored by the Igniters Car Club of Libby. A lot of the schedule information is still tentative, but here’s what we have so far from the organizers. This event is always held on the third weekend in August. Ignite the Nites – Friday & Saturday, August 18-19 Car Show, Burn Out Contest, Cruise & Dance Open to all makes and model vehicles The theme for this year’s Ignite the Nites Car Show is "American Graffiti". There will be prizes awarded for best theme car and costume. The tentative schedule includes a golf tournament, poker run, Gut cruise and the Neon & Flame Throwing Contest on Friday. The Gut is Mineral Avenue in downtown Libby, which will be closed to public driving during the cruise from 6-10 pm on Friday night. The car show, awards, raffle, burn out contest and dance will be held on Saturday. The band has not yet been confirmed for Saturday night’s dance, and prices haven’t been set yet.
