The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a Storm Advisory and Winter Storm Watch from Saturday evening through Sunday afternoon above 3500 feet for the Kootenai/Cabinet region.
Another series of Pacific storm systems will move across northwest Montana late Friday evening bringing accumulations of from 2-5 inches of snow above 4,000 feet and lesser amounts down to 3,000 feet. Widespread snow will taper to scattered showers Saturday morning.
More snow is expected Saturday night producing wind and possible heavy mountain snow. Five to ten inches of snow is possible above 5,000 feet. Blowing and drifting snow is possible, especially over higher mountain passes, creating traffic difficulties and limited visibility.
