Area Ice Fishing Derby dates set

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks recently approved 20 ice-fishing contests for this winter.
Dates for ice fishing derbies near Libby:
Jan. 21-22, 2006: Kickin' Horse Fishing Derby Thompson Chain of Lakes
February 25, 2006: Salmon Slam Thompson Chain of Lakes
February 26, 2006: Ryan Wagner Memorial Ice Fishing Derby Murphy Lake
February 11-12, 2006: McGregor Lake Resort Annual Fishing Derby McGregor Lake
Participants entered in the contests may catch and keep fish entered, but must comply with state fishing regulations, including daily and possession limits. No holiday weekend contests are allowed and contests on the same body of water may not be held on consecutive weekends.
