Libby Dam increases flows
Flows increased for sturgeon augmentation

Libby Dam increased flows from 4 Kcfs to 9 Kcfs on May 18, and from 9 Kcfs to 15 Kcfs on May 19, according to dam managers. Flows will increase to 20 Kcfs on Saturday, May 21, and to 25 Kcfs on Monday, May 23.
The purpose of the increase in flow is to provide sturgeon augmentation flows, as detailed in the System Operation Request submitted by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to the Technical Management Team (an inter-agency technical group responsible for making recommendations on dam and reservoir operations.
