Troy Cookbook in the works
Deadline for recipes is August 1
April 26, 2005
The Troy Area Community Association is putting together a cookbook to showcase the cooking delights the Troy area has to offer. The Association is requesting home recipes, based on the unique Troy history and a sense of fun. They are requesting recipe donations and will give chefs full credit, as well as give some family history to go along with the recipe.
Recipes are sought for the following categories: "Hooked and Still Game" (game meat and fish preparations) "Mother-in-Law Dinners" (all other meat and fish preparations) "Roots, Shoots and Toots" (fruits, vegetables, salads) "Savory Supping" (soups and stews) "Mama’s Tasty Goodies" (baked goods) "It’s Too Early to Tell" (breakfast meals) "Liquid Libations" (drinks - all kinds)
Entry forms are available from Eats and Treats, located in the Anderson Mall in Troy, or by e-mailing TACA at troyareacommunityassn@frontiernet.net. Deadline for recipe entries is August 1. Cookbook sales will be used to help support the work of the Troy Area Community Association which helps to fund community projects throughout the Troy area, including Bull Lake, Troy, and the Yaak.
