Winter Storm Warning
March 20, 2005
A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 9 am Sunday, issued by the National Weather Service in Missoula, for north central Idaho and western Montana. This includes the Kootenai/Cabinet region and West Glacier. Snow accumulations of from 4-8 inches are possible by mid-morning. Snow will be accompanied by gusty southwest winds from 15-25 mph. Travelers should be prepared for blowing and drifting snow with areas of reduced visibilities.
Weather conditions are expected to warm a bit Sunday with snow showers mixing with rain. The snow level will rise to 4000 feet in the afternoon, with daytime high temperatures climbing into the 40s and 50s.
Chance of snow showers continues through this next week through Saturday. Night-time temperatures will be in the teens to 20s and daytime temperatures will be in the 40s-50s.
