1st Place Judges' Award: Lkhagvadorj Dorjsuren (George) Sam Bowsher 2nd Place Judges' Award Ryan Villiers 3rd Place Judges' Award People's Choice Award Clash of the Carvers Sunday, September 7 by Maggie Craig September 13, 2025 Libby's ninth annual Chainsaw Carving Championship wrapped up Sunday, September 7, with Sunday's quick carve and auction, final judging of exhibition pieces and subsequent auction, and awards. Predictably, the carvers produced stunning pieces of chainsaw art. This is one of Libby's premiere events, drawing exceptional artistic talent to town for an incredible weekend of chainsaw carving. It was a hot four days, with temperatures reaching into the low to mid 80s all weekend under smoky skies. But the weather did not seem to deter the carvers, spectators or auction audiences. Carving this year were: Dennis Beach, Adrian Bois, Sam Bowsher, Marina Cole, Mark Colp, Jamie Doeren, Lisa Doeren, Lkhagvadorj Dorjsuren (George), Joe Dussia, Micky Grayum, Denny Henson, Steven Higgins, Brigitte Lochhead, Bongo Love, Rachael Mirth, Alex Pricob, Emil Szkipala, Ryan Villiers and Taylor White.
