Hot August Showdown X Hot August Showdown X 2022 Cabinet Mountain RC Raceway August 9, 2022 A special Hot August Showdown was held over the weekend, August 5-7, at Cabinet Mountain RC Raceway. This is the tenth year for the Kootenai RC Racers and Scheer Bros. Hobbies to host the remote control car races, northwest Montana's longest running outdoor RC race event. Several local businesses sponsor the annual Showdown, which has helped it to grow into a Montana RC destination. It's an annual family-friendly weekend of camaraderie and a shared love of remote control racing. This is also the second year that Adam Drake, a champion pro racer, has attended Libby's event, lending additional excitement to the weekend. Adam and Ronda Drake are appreciated participants in Libby for their knowledge and experience in the RC world. Anyone who is interested in the hobby of remote control racing or RC flying is encouraged to contact Scheer Bros. Hobbies, Libby's local hobby shop, at 406-293-9362.
