On Mineral Avenue Libby's Wind Storm Storm hit Tuesday, November 17 November 18, 2015 Work crews and residents were busy Wednesday after the wind storm that ripped through the Pacific Northwest hit Libby with a vengeance Tuesday night. Downed trees and power lines could be seen all around town, and hundreds in Libby and the surrounding area were left without power through Tuesday night and, for many, into Wednesday. Libby public schools were closed Wednesday due to trees across the roads leading to both Libby Middle/High School and the elementary school and power outages in the area.
