Polar Bear Season Begins
Four take the plunge

Four Polar Bears started the season with a swim in Libby Creek Sunday afternoon. Regulars "Polar Bear Rick" Klin and Steve Sonju were joined by fourth-graders Tim Lundstrom and Matthew White. The water temperature was 46 degrees with the air temperature about the same for the first plunge of the season. The Polar Bears will meet now every Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Libby Creek bridge on Farm to Market Road through the first Sunday in April.
