STOKR Riders: Organizer Susie Rice asked us to pass on this last minute reminder info to bikers coming to Libby this weekend for the STOKR bike ride. Packet Pick Up At the Venture Inn (on Hwy 2 near the Chamber of Commerce)
Registration: Open from 4:00 to10:00 pm on Friday, May 11 and from 6:30 am to the 8:00 am departure on Saturday May 12.
REMEMBER that Libby is in MOUNTAIN time!!
AGAIN THIS YEAR: You will need picture ID to pick up your packet. Registered riders and participants will get a STOKR bracelet which will get them into all the food stops.
Note: The top of Libby Dam is closed to public traffic (for security purposes since 9-11 tragedy) STOKR bracelets will be needed for bikers to be allowed to cross. Parking areas and public restrooms are available on both sides of the top of the dam. The Visitor Center is on the west side, off the FDR road. The Visitor Center officially opens for the season on Memorial Day weekend, but will be open on Sunday from 9:00 AM until Noon (12:00 PM) for STOKR. Public restrooms are available. Food will be provided for STOKR participants. Be sure to go see the LIVE video feed for the bald eagle cam in the Visitor Center! The chicks have hatched!

The Chamber Visitor Center will be open on Saturday for STOKR. The building will be open until about 3:00 PM. There are public restrooms and visitors may pick up information from the racks about the area at the Chamber.
Tourist Travel Advisories! Road into Ross Creek Cedars is CLOSED High spring runoff water washed out the road into Ross Creek Cedars. The road is closed just beyond the view point and there won’t be public access until the end of July. Adventurous people can climb over the rocks and dirt of the slide and still hike into the Cedars area if they really want to get in and are willing to walk in the last mile and ˝.. Glacier National Park Going to the Sun Road is partially closed due to spring high water wash out. Currently 29.0 miles of the Going-to-the-Sun Road are open for travel. Visitors can drive 15.5 miles from the West Entrance to Avalanche, and 13.5 miles from the St. Mary Entrance to Jackson Glacier Overlook.
