Kids' Fishing Day in Troy

A kids' fishing day has been scheduled in Troy to give young anglers an opportunity to fish and participate in fishing related activities:
June 9 - Troy Kids' Fishing Day, 8 am to Noon, Troy Family Fishing Pond, (contact MFWP at 293-4161 ext. 100 or USFS at 295-7422)
The event offers fishing for kids, usually 12 and younger, and may also offer activities such as casting, fish identification, art, and water safety. Lots of prizes are available for participants. A large number of groups cooperate to sponsor these days including sportsmen clubs, businesses, civic organizations and government agencies to make these fun and safe days for the whole family.
